  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  2. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. In a container to double boil, add the chocolate chips, vanilla, the 2 Tbsp butter, and 1/2 cup cream
  4. Mix in the double boiler until a smooth chocolatey sauce has formed.
  5. Add chocolate sauce to buttercream mix.
  6. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture.
  7. Melt chocolate chips in saucepan (nonstick) with a little bit of butter. Beat into mixture.
  8. Spread into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking pan. Spread remaining batter evenly over top. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30-35 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool on a wire rack.
